The EasybeatsThe Easybeats were a rock and roll band in the 1960s from Australia. They had one big international success, "Friday on My Mind" in 1966, written by guitarists Harry Vanda and George Young. Two of their songs, "Bring a Little Lovin'" and "Come In, You'll Get Pneumonia", were hits for Los Bravos and Paul Revere and the Raiders, respectively. "Good Times" and "Falling Off The Edge of the World" were minor hits in the United States. After disbanding in 1969, Vanda and Young would go on to write for and produce a number of artists, such as Easybeats singer Steve Wright, AC/DC, featuring George's brothers Angus Young and Malcolm Young, and others, and would write "Yesterday's Hero" for the Bay City Rollers. |
