The Manual

The Manual is a 1989 book released under the name of The Timelords, also known as The Justified Ancients of Mu Mu furthermore known as The KLF. Subtitled How to Have a Number One the Easy Way, it is a tongue-in-cheek guide to scamming the music industry written by former music industry manager Bill Drummond. The book is written a step by step guide to achieving a No.1 single with no money, it is also a case study of the duo's 1988 UK novelty pop No.1 Doctorin the Tardis, a mix of Gary Glitter and the Dr Who theme,

The Manual was re-released with a new foreword by Drummond in 2002.
