The Restaurant at the End of the Universe

The Restaurant at the End of the Universe is the second book, published originally by Pan Books as a paperback, in the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series written by Douglas Adams.

It takes its name from Milliways, the Restaurant at the End of the Universe, one of the settings of the book.

To quote from the "Pan Original" edition:

It is freely adapted from episodes of the BBC radio programme The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy, which were first broadcast on 5 April 1978, 12 April 1978, 24 December 1978, and 21, 22, 23, 24, 25 January 1980."
