The Secret Adversary

The Secret Adversary (1922) is a work of detective fiction by Agatha Christie. It introduces the characters of Tommy and Tuppence.

Plot

Documents are lost that, if they were known to the general public, would fuel a communist revolution in Great-Brittain. Tommy and Tuppence get hired to retrieve them before the instigators of the revolution can. However, the opposition is led by an intelligent mastermind. Will the detectives-by-chance succeed?

Published in 1922 as Christie's second novel, it is one of two of her books that are in the public domain in the US, and available at Project Gutenberg. [1] The book will not be available in life+50 countries before 2026.
