The Young Doctors

The Young Doctors was a lightweight Australian early evening soap opera aimed at a teenage audience. The series was set in a hospital and primarily concerned with romances between younger members of the hospital staff.

Produced by Reg Grundy Organisation and screened on Channel Nine from 1976 to 1982. When it ended it was Australia's longest running soap opera, but it has since been supplanted by Neighbours.

Principal cast members included: Alan Dale, Rebecca Gilling, Cornelia Frances, John Walton, Delvene Delaney, Lynda Stoner, Judy McBurney, Mark Holden, Alfred Sandor, Gwen Plumb.
