Thomas Chippendale, the younger

Thomas Chippendale, the younger, 1749 - 1822

Eldent son of Thomas Chippendale's eleven children. He took over his father's business on his death in 1779. The company is listed in Sheraton's "The Cabinet Directory" of 1803 but went bankrupt in [[1804] but was re-established later. Thomas Chippendale was also a member of the Society of Arts and exhibited his paintings in the Royal Academy between 1784 and 1801
