Training Day

Training Day is a 2001 film which tells the story of a violent, corrupt policeman who is assigned the task of training a new officer. It stars Denzel Washington, Ethan Hawke, Scott Glenn, Tom Berenger, Harris Yulin, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and Macy Gray.

The movie was written by David Ayer and directed by Antoine Fuqua.

It won the Academy Award for Best Actor (Denzel Washington) and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor (Ethan Hawke).

The film was actually filmed in the parts of Los Angeles, California where street gangs hold sway. The producers had to get permission from the gangs to shoot in their neighborhoods.
