Trapezium (bone)
The trapezium is a bone in the human hand. It was also previously referred to as the greater multangular bone or the os multangulum majus.This bone is a carpal bone, in the section commonly referred to as the wrist. It articulates distally with the first metacarpal bone (of the thumb) and proximally with the scaphoid bone. It articulates with the traphezoid bone and the second metacarpal bone medially.
