Ushuaia International Airport

Ushuaia International Airport, located in Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego, Argentina, is a small international airport. Its IATA code is USH.

History

The current airport was opened in 1995, replacing the old one. It was constructed of various materials. The airport has been used by various distinct airlines at different periods. It is Argentina's southernmost airport and its sometimes used by passengers as a gateway to the Antarctic.

Capacity

Ushuaia International Airport is fit to receive airplanes as large as Boeing 747s. Tower Air used to operate such types into the airport, and
Aerolineas Argentinas has also operated 747s into the airport.
