USS Kearsarge

Four commissioned ships of the United States Navy have borne the name USS Kearsarge. The first was named for a mountain in New Hampshire; the later ones were named in honor of the first.

The sloop of war USS Kearsarge fought one of the American Civil War's most memorable naval actions.

The battleship USS Kearsarge (BB-5) sailed with the Great White Fleet.

The aircraft carrier USS Hornet (CV-12) was briefly named Kearsarge before she was launched.

The aircraft carrier USS Kearsarge (CV-33) served in the Korean War and the Vietnam War.

USS Kearsarge (LHD-3) is a Wasp-class amphibious assault ship commissioned in 1993.
