Valencia, Venezuela

Valencia, Venezuela is an economic hub that contains Venezuela's top industries and manufacturing companies. The population of Valencia has reached roughly 1.2 million in the year 2003, and it is expected to grow dramatically. Valencia is known for its racial and international diversity. Valencia is also the capital of the province Carabobo.

The elevation of the city is 1,700 feet. Valencia is located in a valley, surrounded by a mountain range called Cordillera de la costa. On the eastern outskirts of the city lies Lake Valencia, Venezuela's second largest lake.

Due to its cleanliness, effective public works, good police security, Venezuelans see Valencia as the nation's model city.

A modern subway system is being constructed that will connect the downtown with the most remote suburbs of the city.

The airport, Arturo Michelena International Airport (SVVA), ranks 3rd in traffic actvity.
