Velemir Khlebnikov

Velemir Khlebnikov is an accomplished poet that lived in the beginnings of Russian Revolution.

A very eccentric artist, Khlebnikov was sometimes remembered by friends such as Vladimir Mayakovsky as a man with a sack over his back from where many sheets of paper from with his poems falled to the ground.

Main works

  • the prologue to the famous opera "Victory over the sun" (libretto by Krutchonikh, stage props and clothes by Malevitch) (1914/15)
  • "KA" poetic prose (1922)
  • "Zangezi", stage play
