\nVerdigre is located at 42°35'47" North, 98°2'3" West (42.596437, -98.034118)¹. According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 1.5 km² (0.6 mi²). 1.5 km² (0.6 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.04 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 3.51% water.

\nAs of the census of 2000, there are 519 people, 232 households, and 122 families residing in the village. The population density is 357.8/km² (934.1/mi²). There are 286 housing units at an average density of 197.2/km² (514.7/mi²).
