Washington Institute for Values in Public Policy

The Washington Institute for Values in Public Policy was originally created by members of the Unification Church as an outgrowth of the World Peace Academy. The institute promotes the virtue of public service, especially nations transcending self-interest to work for the well-being of other nations.

It has published books, such as Central America in crisis : a program for action [1] and Arms Control: an American dilemma, by US Ambassador William Kintner (reissued by Paragon House); as well as a journal [1]. Its staff director was Jonathan Slevin. [1]

The Science and Environmental Policy Project was founded by S. Fred Singer as an affiliate of the Institute. [1]
