Watford

Watford is a town in Hertfordshire, England about 20 miles northwest of the centre of London. Watford is within the M25 motorway and practically part of the London urban area, with the Watford tube station at the outer edge of the London Underground system. There are also faster trains to London from Watford Junction. Despite (or perhaps because of) its proximity to London, the phrase 'North of Watford' is widely used to imply remotenes.

It has 80,000 inhabitants and a football club, Watford F.C, which is currently in division one. Saracens Rugby Club moved to Watford and shares the same ground.

As of October, 2003, Watford's MP is Clare Ward (Labour).
