Werkendam
Werkendam (population: 26,248) is a town in the southern Netherlands, in the province of North Brabant. The municipality covers an area of 124.68 km² (of which 13.60 km² water).The municipality of Werkendam also includes the following towns, villages and townships: Dussen, Hank, Nieuwendijk, Sleeuwijk, as well as a large part of the Biesbosch area.
Public transport is by SVD bus 6 from Dordrecht (timetable), crossing the Nieuwe Merwede river with the bus on the ferry ([1]), through Werkendam and Sleeuwijk Tol to Sleeuwijk, by neighborhood bus from Gorinchem through Sleeuwijk Tol to Werkendam, and by ferry to Boven-Hardinxveld ([1]). There is neither public transport on sundays nor after ca. 19:00.
