William Bristol

William Bristol (June 2, 1779- March 7, 1836) was a mayor of New Haven, Connecticut.

He was born in Hamden, Connecticut, and became a lawyer. He was United States District Attorney for Connecticut, 1812, a member of the Connecticut state house of representatives, 1817, a member of Connecticut state senate at-large, 1819, a superior court judge in Connecticut, 1819-26, mayor of New Haven, Connecticut, 1827, and a judge of the United States District Court for Connecticut, 1826-36. He died in office in New Haven, Connecticut, and was interred at Grove Street Cemetery.
